Alpina Genève is proud to announce its exclusive partnership with Team Niceforyou racing in the Extreme Sailing Series. Niceforyou believes in the quality and high standards of the Extreme Sailing Series and has decided to take part in the circuit from 2011, alongside a team of extremely high profile sailors, led by an exceptional skipper: Alberto Barovier. Barovier was the winner of the 2010 America’s Cup on board the trimaran BMW Oracle Racing.

La manufacture horlogère suisse Alpina Genève est ravie d’annoncer le lancement de sa nouvelle collection Startimer Pilot ; une gamme extrêmement séduisante de montres contemporaines, inspirée par le design des Alpina originales des années 1920 et 1930.

À cette époque, Alpina Watch International était une fabrique horlogère spécialisée, fournisseur officiel de montres pour pilotes de l’armée de l’air. Ces pionniers de l’aviation avaient en effet des exigences rigoureuses : leurs instruments se devaient d’être extrêmement précis et de garantir une résistance optimale aux chocs. Les montres pour pilotes Alpina étaient donc souvent équipées d’un boîtier antimagnétique et dotées d’un cadran contrasté avec chiffres lumineux surdimensionnés et aiguilles luminescentes pour une plus grande lisibilité.

The stars were out for the launch of our new Club collection of affordable luxury watches. Eva Longoria, (Desperate Housewives), Laurence Fishburne (CSI), Ashley Green (Twilight), Holly Marie Combs (Charmed) and Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) were all present to see for themselves the new collection and try on the models.

Members of the public also had a chance to mingle with the stars and to try on our newest watches, as well as dancing to the hottest tunes, drinking the trendiest champagne and partaking of the coolest snacks. To get access to this normally inaccessible palace of fun, all anyone had to do was come armed with a witty or unusual chat up line that made the doorman smile and access to this most exclusive sanctury was granted.
