Racing
Race:– noun
- A contest of speed
A race is not a race if there is no end in sight and an end is always a moment in time. A race is therefore a competition of speed, against the clock, against others, against oneself. Ever since humans differentiated themselves from other species, we have felt the need to race – and more often than not just for fun! To feel the wind in our faces, to experience the thrill and excitement of doing everything we can to win is one of our oldest, and defining, characteristics. All cultures, and all times, have raced and even technology might have changed beyond all recognition from and beyond the imagination of the first people to race, the pleasure gained remains timeless and unchanging.
It is therefore a logical step for Alpina to be involved in racing. With our sports pedigree, the high quality of our watches, built to endure, the soul of the Alpina watch movements belong where sport is at its most intense. Be a player is not just a slogan, it is a way of being.
Welcome, then, to the Alpina Racing Universe. Every one of the watches you will find here has been built, tested and used by racing drivers. When you are pushing your vehicle faster than it was ever meant to go, when you are pulling as many Gs as a fighter pilot in a dogfight, and when you are doing for lap after lap, hour after hour, then you need to trust that your watch is built to an exceedingly high standard. You need an Alpina. It is no surprise that we are heavily involved in the most challenging series of races, where speed and endurance meet to offer the ultimate test of man, machine and timepiece.
WHERE CAN YOU FIND YOUR WATCHES IN ACTION?
