a surprise while curling the track Solaise of Val d’Isère in 1 minute, 21
seconds and 7/100.This performance makes
her the favorite to win a French medal for the next great test of speed - the Descent

A champion of French skiing —23 years old, Marie Marchand-Arvier,
member of the French Ski Team since 2003, is one of the young French talents in
Alpine skiing.After its first Olympics in
2006 in Turin, her two podium positions at the World Cup of 2007 and her two
national titles in 2008, the skier of “Les Contamines” continues her ascension
with a fully loaded 2009 season.Marie
will participate in the descents of the Super G and of the Super Combined, both
part of the World Cup.
